Wyse S30 and Secure Global Desktop (SGD)

Wyse S30 and Secure Global Desktop (SGD)

I am a volunteer for a Council charity. The charity has had 20 or so Wyse S30 terminals (part no 902113) donated and I am looking to find the most cost-effective setup for them. I am prototyping with one terminal and have successfully flashed firmware build 666. I noticed that there is no client setup link for SGD as there is for RDP, ICA and VMware, either on the desktop or the program menu. I tried flashing the SGD addon and, although the flash reported successful, there was still no link on reboot. Is there a pdf somewhere that documents how to setup the terminal as an SGD client? Actually, if you have a general how-to document repository for all things S30, I would really appreciate directions to it...

Cracked it.

The URL should be http://my.server/tarantella, not  http://my.server/sgd.

You have to use ../tarantella with the Native clients, apparently.

Use 'Connection Manager' - but it doesn't work!

So 9 days and no reply. Am I really the only person ever to try this?
The answer is that SGD should show up as a new option in the Connection Manager dialogue when you add a new connection. The trouble is that the Wyse version of the SGD client doesn't appear to work. Perhaps that is why there has been no reply - even though SGD 4.2 is clearly stated as being supported in the Wyse S30 Windows CE data sheets.

The server works and can be connected to from an XP machine with the XP version of the SGD client. The XP machine, Wyse terminal and SGD sever are all on the same LAN and subnet. Everything is pingable from everything else. I was even able to open the base sgd server url in the IE that comes with B666, and yet the SGD client reports:

"Failed to process Secure Global Desktop server information. Page not found."

Incidentally, I used the same url that worked on the XP client - http://my.server/sgd/. Also tried http://my.server/sgd/thin.jsp - same result

I also tried downgrading the firmware to CE 5 with the SGD addon but got the same response.
