Re: Killer E2400 Gigabyte Controller Driver Update?

FYI.

When I looked at the Dell website I saw that Dell recommended Killer E2X00 and E3000 Gigabit Ethernet Controller, Version: 2.1.1295 ,A14. When I applied this update I checked Device Driver and I still saw the old driver version so I was at a loss as to why the driver didn't get updated. After doing some further browsing I came across this important, but not obvious, statement:

After you install the package, the Killer E2400 and E2500 LAN driver version in Device Manager is 9.0.0.49

This explains why Device Driver still shows "the older driver version".

Care to explain so somebody else can benefit from your efforts?
