Protective film not removed from NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2060 6GB GDDR6 in my computer

About a month ago I purchased a new XPS 8930 that contained a NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2060 6GB GDDR6 video card. Fortunately, a few days ago I purchased and installed additional memory. This was the first time I had opened the tower. , I found that the video card had a protective film over the side with the fan. Fortunately the protective film had a hole for the fan. The protective film was starting to come off. I removed it because such a film might end up clogging an area through which air should be able to move inside the computer. The protective film appeared to be similar to the one that was over the outside of the tower to protect it from scratches.

The protective film presumably should've been removed when the computer was assembled. People might want to consider whether they should check their video cards to be sure that there is no protective film over them.
