Studio XPS 8100, AHCI port 0 error code

I turned on the computer to an Ahci port 0 device error press f2 to resume message. When I did that I reached the cmos setup utility. I check all the bio and boot and everything look good and after hit F10(SAVE and EXit) then still showing Ahci port 0 device error press f2 again BUT if I hit EXIT WITHOUT SAVE THEN THE COMPUTER BOOT BACK TO NORMAL AND ALSO I CAN DO ANY WORK ON MY PC LIKE NORMAL. Every time when turn on the computer is the same thing. If I HIT F12 to Boot then it will show Ahci port 0 device error press f2. There is no error code showing at all. Please let me know if anything I need to do. I had tries everything from the website.

Dell Studio XPS 8100, I7, window 10.

Or it could mean that your Coin-Cell (CMOS) battery is failing and needs to be replaced. See the procedure in the service manual: https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_studio_xps_desktop/studio-xps-8100_service%20manual_en-us.pdf

It could mean your hard drive is failing or about to fail. Run the hard drive diagnostics.

Backup the drive and make copies of all your personal files asap.

Could it be that your cd/dvd or another drive is connected to port 0 and it is the first boot device?

Test results indicate hard drive failure as Mary G mentioned. Backup your data and replace your hard drive.
