XPS 8700, BIOS A11, Windows 10 random reboots/black screen

I have a dual boot 8700. Win 8.1 runs flawlessly. Win10 reboots 10min after start to maybe a few hours. Sometimes just a black screen then graphics card fan goes nuts. Power button to restart. Upgraded power supply and video card. Currently have BIOS A11 not sure from reading about BIOS A12-A14 if any of those might address the issue? IF so, can I jump straight to A14?

Thanks.

How did you do the Windows 10 install?  I did go to A14 and still got a similar problem.  The reason that I ask is because I had Windows 10 working on my HDD after a fresh load for a month.  I tried some of the Easeus products in order to do a clone copy of my HDD onto an SSD.  I then removed the HDD and got the problem like you are mentioning except for the graphics card issue.  I finally bought a clone box, cloned the HDD to the SSD offline and that fixed it for me.

Random Reboots means that one or more rails has insufficient power.

How would hardware be the issue when this machine runs for weeks without any errors on win8.1? Can you please explain how that would work with this rail power issue?

Win10 was installed on a new SSD drive added to the machine. Always had these reboot issues. It can last as long as perhaps 8hrs or sometimes 10min. Is it possible the install wasn't 100% clean because I had the other drive with win8.1 on the machine at the time?

Are there any events listed in the Win 10 Event Viewer around the time of the crash or in the Win 10 Reliability Monitor on that date?

Are all the drivers up-to-date?
