XPS 8930, short 13" DP cable? #2

Jump to solution

Referring to this other thread. I had spoken to two Dell tech support people and they didn't know what I was talking about. This must be a very new feature and there is very little information about it, even among Dell's support people. The web site lists a 555-BEOX and a Z card, but not the Y card that comes as an option with the 8930. A lot of outdated information on this thread as well.

I'm not very familiar with Thunderbolt. Is there anything else that the DP 1.4 in jack on the Thunderbolt card would be used for?

As I understand it the Thunderbolt jacks act like a higher speed USB ports where you can daisy-chain up to 6 Thunderbolt capable devices each. Is this correct?
