XPS 8940, C2722DE, connection help

Hello, 

I am looking for advice on connecting Dell XPS 8940, i7, 16GB RAM desktop to Dell C2722DE 27”video conferencing monitor. 

I needed to buy new cables of minimum 3 meter length each as supplied 1.8 mts are too short (DP to DP cable, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A to Type-B upstream cable). May I know whether I am better off buying a single USB Type-C (monitor) to DP 1.4 (desktop) cable rather than using two different cables as above? Are there any pros and cons of using USB Type-C to DP cable instead of recommended set up of using DP cable and USB Type-A to USB Type-B upstream cable?
