Ron,

In HWINFO64 just go to the Settings and then the TRAY ICON tab. Scroll to find what you'd want on the Systray and allow it.

I myself would only run it when I think I needed it. Just wasting CPU resources to put it there, and I doubt one needs any of those all the time (I could be wrong). I does have a fine 'grain' of Temp and other choices, and even each core on the CPU.

Speccy (free) can be configured to put a temp icon on the taskbar at boot, and shows lots of other info when you open its main screen.

Why did you get rid of Windows-11 (on a nice new XPS)? If you have an issue with it, I'm sure we can help you.

Windows-10 is only going to be fully supported for a few more years. Windows v10.5 = Windows-11.

I use HWINFO64 and it works for what I need. I suggest downloading it and  the others that were recommended here and see which you like best. Another bummer about getting rid of Win 11 is that Win 10 doesn't utilize the full potential of the new 12th Gen chips with the "P" and "E" cores.

I could never figure out how to see HWINFO64's info on the taskbar, assuming that's even possible.

Speccy shows one temp, eg CPU, in its taskbar icon all the time, and mousing over it shows temp for GPU, HDDs in a popup. Clicking the icon opens Speccy's main screen which shows even more useful info.

Hmm, well I suppose. Whatever works for you. Yes, it helps when most/all are the same OS. However, there is just not much difference in normal use.

I went the other way ...

Bought the wife a new gaming-PC with Windows-11. So that both of her's would both be the same ... upgraded her laptop to Windows-11 (free). My new laptop came with Windows-11 Pro. I took her Aurora-R6 for now and upgraded it to Windows-11 (also free).

I think I have all the (important) desktops and laptops here (that can accept the free Windows-11 upgrade) done.

I would think your office computers are getting upgraded soon (or maybe even all new ones).
