DELL XPS15 9560 screen freeze/BSOD problem

Hi,

I'm experiencing random screen freeze problems, eventually leading to a BSOD. I read all the previous posts related to this issue butI couldn't solve it with any of the proposed solutions. The issue is random and doesn't seem to be related to any specific actions on the PC.

My specs are:

Windows 10 Pro, ver. 1909, build 18363.836, 64bit
BIOS v1.14.3
Intel(R) HD Graphics 630, v. 21.20.16.4574
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, v. 26.21.14.4219
Intel(R) Chipset SATA/PCIe RST Premium Controller, v. 16.8.3.1003

According to several posts, there might be a conflict between Intel HD Graphics Card 630, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or the Intel(R) Chipset SATA/PCIe RST Premium Controller. I have installed the latest drivers for the GPU card and the RST controller and tried all driver versions for the Intel HD Graphics Card with no success.

I can provide additional information, if needed.

Can you suggest a solution, please, without reinstalling MS Windows?

Thank you in advance.

Hi RAY5D,

thanks for sharing this information. Your proposal sounds too "hardcore" to me I have finally resolved my problem by rolling back the driver for Intel HD Graphics Card to version 26.20.100.7262. I'm encountering no BSODs although the screen sometimes "resets" itself by turning black for a few miliseconds. This happens once in a month, so prefectly tolerable. Dell support suggests re-installing the firmware version of "MS Windows" which came with the notebook. This is clearly not an acceptable solution for me.
