Dell XPS 15 9560 unable to charge

Hi, my 15 9560 has stopped charging. Initially, once while at full charge it refused to turn on without being plugged in. However, now it does not charge at all. The charging light remains on (mostly), and the adapter seems to work. The BIOS recognizes the adapter and says the battery is healthy, however in the diagnostics it also says that the laptop needs to be plugged in. I've tried reducing the battery as low as possible, and no luck. At this point it cannot turn itself on even while plugged in-- I suspect it's a hardware issue. Please advise, thanks.
