Dell XPS 15 - External Monitor Split Screening Chrome Windows Problem

Whenever I try to split screen two chrome windows on my external monitor, the external monitor screen starts lagging and blinking black screen. I've tried two different monitors and it still happens. Only occurs with two chrome windows.
