Dell XPS 15 (L521x) not powering up
Hi
My dell xps laptop is not powering up.
Adapter is working fine with other laptop. So it is not an issue with adapter. I removed cmos and battery and hold the power button for around one minute. After that also it is not working.
When I connect power input, the orange light blinks once for most of the trials.
Could you please immediately assists me on this

Anything's possible given the tools required, but you're likely to find the cost to have ICs replaced will match or exceed the board replacement cost. The tools and expertise required will likely run you $300-400 -- or about what a board replacement costs.
Board level repair on Mac systems is cost-effective because Apple charges over $1,000 for a mainboard -- on a PC notebook, with a $300 board, repair makes less sense because the cost to repair a board is about the same as it is to replace it.

Disconnect the battery and AC adapter. Hold the power button for 30 sec.
Remove and reinstall the memory module(s).
Plug in only the AC adapter (no battery) and see if it'll start up. If it will, but not with the battery connected, the battery is bad.
If it still won't power up, the mainboard is bad.
The boards run between $230 and $300 or so depending on the CPU - lower for i5, higher for i7. Add $100 or so for labor if you don't replace it yourself, and it's not a low cost repair, particularly given that the boards are all refurbished -- you may find it better to replace the system than the mainboard.

I tried but no luck.
I found battery led board connector cable magnetic strip gone bad. Hope that doesnt cause any problem.
Can we change only power ic in case power ic gone bad?
