How do I re-install windows 10 ?

What is the quickest way to re-install Window 10 ?

I don't mind if I lose my personal files. There are not many anyway. They're all on iDrive and external hard drive.

Thanks

@ejn63

Thanks for your response.

In the link, I see the option:

-------------------
 - Restore your Dell computer using Windows Push-Button Reset

If you would like to reset your computer to a clean Windows 10 version and remove all your files, follow these steps:
---------------------

I've already tried that option.

At the end, I got the message:

---------------------
 - There was a problem resetting your PCC. No changes were made
---------------------

I googled the text of that message.

One hit said this could be due to Dism error.

TenForums said use:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

That showed an issue. I then used:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

I then repeated the Push-Button Reset at the top of this post.

Same negative message: "No changes were made."

Please advise.

Thanks

PS: Sorry for the delay in responding. The Cptcha failed me 3 times.

Failed again. That's 4

Do any of the regulars know how to beat the captcha?

@ejn63 is spot on with his post. Alternatively if you don't mind losing everything on the drive and want to clean install, go to the MS site here and download the media creation tool. Launch it and it will create a USB (make sure you have a drive of at least 8 GB inserted in the USB port) Windows 10 installation USB drive. This YouTube video is a great tutorial.

As simple as this

Reboot to F12 > SupportAssist OS recovery > Skip > RESET

Now you can choose either of the 2 options.

RESET - This will reinstall windows using Factory image stored in your hard drive (Quicker)

RESET and UPDATE : This will require internet connection, will download latest windows 10 image and use that to reinstall windows (Recommended)
