Plugged in, not charging

My charger stopped working the other day, so I just replaced it. The charger itself works, but it isn’t charging my laptop from any of the three usb c ports. Of course, my laptop is out of power and won’t turn on at all. I tried cleaning out the ports, but that didn’t help whatsoever. I am a struggling college student so any help or advice would be amazing.

What is the status of the LED indicator on AC adapters ?

Does LED indicator show a solid green or blue light when connected to the computer and wall outlet? Does LED indicator blinks when connected ?

In the meantime, if you're comfortable opening the computer, I'd suggest reseating the battery to see if Flea Power is causing your computer to not boot up. Flea power is the residual static electricity that remains on the computer even after it has been powered off and the battery has been removed. Please view battery removal/replacing in link below and then perform steps for Flea Power Release.

Any update CharlieFossen?

You had a chance to view the Owner manual and video to see if you're able to reseat the battery ?

If you aren't comfortable opening the computer, I'd suggest contact Dell Technical Support in the link below.

Also check to see if the computer still has warranty in the link below:

I have two Dell 5041s - both were supplied with USB C Chargers.   Both device will not start up UNLESS i use a conventional charger.   They (both devices had been on and running for about 10 days, until one day I came in and they are both dead.   Both power adaptors have white lights on the USB connector signifying power - but... none of the devices will charge or startup.  (unless a legacy adaptor is supplied)
