TB16 on XPS 15 9570 causes blue screen on USB disconnect

The bluescreen is caused by asmtxhci.sys which is the latest version 1.16.51.1, A08 of the ASMedia USB 3.0 TB16 USB controller.

Also TB16 firmware and XPS Bios is up-to-date. The problem is casued by unplugging a wireless headset USB tonggle from a USB 2.0 port of the dock.

Here is the BSOD memory analyzes. Please fix this problem with a updated ASMedia driver!

Re: TB16 on XPS 15 9570 causes blue screen on USB disconnect

I have this problem too!

When I unplug either my Jabra Evolve 65 headset USB cable or the Jabra LINK 360 bluetooth dongle from the TB16.

Other USB devices are unaffected.

Re: TB16 on XPS 15 9570 causes blue screen on USB disconnect

I have the same issue which is pretty annoying since it is a brand new laptop and dock.

Looks like there might be a fix coming according to this thread here: https://www.dell.com/community/Latitude/New-7490-TB16-Skype-for-Business-BSOD-in-asmtxhci-sys/m-p/61...

USB on this dock is pretty much unusable at the moment and I'm wavering on just returning it.

Re: TB16 on XPS 15 9570 causes blue screen on USB disconnect

I updated ASMedia driver to 1.16.55.1 and this resolved my issue.
