Changing the power management setting for the Intel Bluetooth Wireless device as above solved the problem for me, thanks for the tip.
Part from rolling back the BIOS firmware version, disable the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in the Device Manager also worked when i once again upgraded the firmware to 1.1.3.
I hope any of these solutions will resolve your issue.
Yes this worked for me thank you! unchecking the "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power" under "Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)" setting in device manager.
Disabling energy saving for Bluetooth isn't an acceptable solution.
My battery life was cut in half after disabling Bluetooth energy saving.
I'm an essential worker in the medical industry and I rely on the battery life of this laptop to do my job saving lives.
I have the same laptop (XPS 13 7290 2-in-1).
In my case the freezing problem occured several times every minute, and started to be a major issue for me. I just tried the bluetooth setting that allow the device to turn it of to save power.
It's been around 30 minutes now, an the freezing problem has not occured a single time after the setting change in the device manager. I thank you for your post. This solution was a life saver!!
