XPS 13 9300, USB-C hub still not working

It has been almost 1 year since I posted the below, hoping for dell team to conduct BIOS update to fix the issue, but they still haven't.

https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/XPS-13-9300-USB-C-hub-not-working/td-p/7632641

Although the thread is marked as "solved", their solution was to wait for updated BIOS and redirect to the (at that time) ongoing thread

https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/XPS-13-9300-USB-C-hub-not-working/td-p/7632641

I would like to inform that my usb-C hub still does not work.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07S2R34HW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Although it works in any other devices, devices other than the one produced by Dell.

So I bought

https://amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07YWWZJ65/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00.?ie=UTF8&psc=1

instead. It works - except that after the computer wakes up from suspend, the hub no longer works. To make it work again, I need to either restart the computer or plugin the hub again.

I have waited 1 year for this issue to be fixed. Please someone give me a solution other than redirecting me to other ongoing thread or "wait for BIOS update".

What Firmware/BIOS version are you currently running on your XPS-13 (9300) ?

We're all users here helping other users, not Dell. If you bought those hubs from Amazon, you did not buy from Dell. Amazon is a marketplace with many, many sellers but not Dell. Contact your seller to return the hub if it doesn't work for you. It sounds like the hubs are just power strips so it might not work after Sleep. But it is not a problem with the computer.

Latest bios is 1.14 for the 9300

You should also check the firmware version of your hub. Like your laptop, it also has a firmware.

I'm using Linux. When the Hub is connected to the laptop, using the Linux LVFS firmware tool will report upgrades for both the BIOS and the Hub itself. If you are using Windows, I have no idea how to upgrade automatically the firmware like Linux does through LVFS.

You probably need the Hub to be connected for its firmware to be checked. How to do that in Windows, I can't help.

Hi, yes 1.4 update came out just few days ago after the original post was made. I updated the software, but still no chance.

I am using Linux too. There is no software update on the hub so far but it's just my XPS-13 that this hub doesn't work.
