Hello all,
I'm kind of new to the forum so apologies if I do something wrong.
I was on my laptop, a Dell XPS 13 9343, which I've had for a very good while now. The warranty expired April 2016. Before I got it, I think it was dropped. The hinge was a bit broken but it has since gotten worse. I noticed my laptop had stopped charging, so I opened it up to see what it was. What I'm thinking is that the hinge is pushing up against the charging port causing it to break. I had taken it to my local tech store, but they had told me they cannot fix it due to the hinge being too expensive and he said something about a broken cable. I really need this laptop and can't really afford to buy a new one right now. Has anyone got any idea what I can do? There was a small little part that had screws to go in, which me being me, stupidly unscrewed that part, so I think that's what caused the issue.
