XPS 13 9360 Display Failure

My XPS 13 display has stopped working.  The indicator lights flash 7 times white and 2 yellow indicating that there is no display.  I replaced the display 1 year ago and had no problems until 2 weeks ago when the computer became slow, and then the monitor had no display.

I have tried starting while pressing the "D" key and the monitor displays red, then yellow, and then green (Or some permutation of that order.. I can't remember).

I have come to terms that the motherboard needs to be replaced and now I want to get the important data off of the hard drive including product codes for the various software.  An external monitor, via USB-c will not work.

Is there any way to access this computer? Is there another method to have the external display work?

No, there isn't -- but if you need to access the contents of the SSD using a working system, something like this will do the job:
