XPS 13 9360 cannot upgrade firmware of TB16 docking station

I have the following versions of Thunderbolt software installed in my XPS 9360:

I'm also using the latest BIOS version, 2.12.0 right now.

Windows update has installed all the updated drivers, and I even used the Dell tool to install any missing driver/update.

The docking station & cable are configured “always allowed”.

But the firmware update utility for TB16 keeps complaining that I should install the latest “Thunderbolt Controller Driver”:

What does that really mean? Am I doing something wrong?

Using the /l option I'm able to see some logs: the problem with the version seems to be this:

So I've tried to downgrade the driver using the drivers available here:

But I get the same error...does anybody from Dell knows what's going on?
