XPS 13 9360 (i5-8250U) - GNU/Linux - Noise/Crackling after sleep/hibernate

My XPS 13 exhibits a crackling noise under certain conditions. This can be forced by e.g. playing a (muted) video. Using the Kernel parameter

resolves this problem until the first sleep/hibernate. After wakeup, the crackling noise is back. I am running Fedora but verified that the problem also exists with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS which appears to be officially supported. I also tried disabling wireless devices in the BIOS which did not fix the problem.

I was in contact with a Community Technologist from the German Dell support community who sent me here after suggesting the fixes outlined above. Any ideas how to proceed? Or is this better suited for the Linux subforum?
