Can the fix for just this issue be released as a hotfix, rather than waiting for a full BIOS version?
Even when trying to slow myself down, I'm having to fix about 2 typos per sentence - I'd say it's a fairly critical flaw to warrant being pushed out asap. If it'll really take as long as 2 full months to fix it I might have to consider returning it for something else.
In the meantime, have any of you guys had any luck finding a way (other than slowing down) to lessen the issue?
Hi Justin. I just wanted to check to see if the XPS13 9365 2in1 will also be receiving an updated firmware at some point to address the issue. My system is exhibiting this exact behavior, and the two 9365 systems on display at our local electronics store also have the problem.
Thank you for your time and expertise,
"This is with regards to the keyboard issue you had reported, We have reviewed through the details and the next BIOS update is expected to be released before 04/30/2018 so we will ensure we keep a track of it and we will send you a link to update it."
This is part of a message I just got from Dell - looks like this keyboard issue may be fixed in an XPS 13 9370 BIOS update sooner than expected.
Update: They just got back to me again saying the release is scheduled 05/08/2018 now (8th May).
Yes, XPS 13 9370 BIOS version 1.3.1 has been packaged and is now waiting in line to be web posted.
I searched and found no current plans to resolve this issue for 9365. I have since replicated the same issue on my lab's 9365 and am reporting this to Dell engineering shortly.
I have personally replicated the issue on the Latitude 7490 and reported it to Dell engineering. Just waiting for them to get back with a commitment to resolve. I will post updates here.

This is great news!
Would you happen to know if it's related to this keyboard issue too, or if that one will be addressed separately?
Thanks a lot!
