XPS 13 9380, active stylus support?

Hi guys,

I'll be in the market for a new laptop this summer and I'm very tempted by the new XPS 13. The 4k option comes with a touchscreen. As far as I can tell the touchscreen version of the 9380 does not come with active stylus support. It isn't mentioned on the product information page and none of the reviews I've read mention it.

Can you people clear that up for me? I don't NEED a touchscreen on my work laptop in my daily life, but one with active stylus support would be interesting. If it's just a regular touchscreen, I'll stick with the 1080p non-touchscreen model.

I don't see the active Pen mentioned either.  Normally, if you check the customize and buy listings it will be listed in the accessories section if compatible.

Since the 2-in-1 systems will usually have active PEN capability, I went with the XPS 13 9365.  It has been updated with an 8th generation processor, so you might look at that. I do believe a touchscreen is required for a Pen to function.

I’ve just bought a custom xps13 9380 4K UHD and was never offered but just watched a video on you tube using one and seemed fine. I’ll be buying mine off amazon so I can send back if it don’t work so will let ya know 🤨

I bought the Dell active stylus and have a custom XPS 13 9380 with the 4K touch screen.  No dice.  Can't get it to work.  How can a flagship and arguably the best laptop in it's class not have this type of support?
