XPS 13-9380, colors are warm, and no Premier Color

Hi there friends,

I just bought a new Dell XPS 13-9380. I also have an older model of XPS 15-9550, the colors are dark and perfect, but this new XPS 13-9380 the color are much more warm and yellowish. I try to download PremierColor but once I try to install it it stops in the process, like PremierColor doesn't support this XPS 13-9380. What can I do? How can I make the colors more darker, and how can I still install and use Premier Color?

Thanks, Nadav

What version of Premier Color did you download and try to install? Provide the link. The two versions I see (A06, A05) do not list the XPS 13-9380 as a supported model. Read this. Post pictures of the XPS 13-9380 LCD when running the LCD Built-in Self Test (BIST).

Open Display Settings and see what you can adjust. Manuals are here--

Re: XPS 13-9380, colors are warm, and no Premier Color

I download from Dell the update version and also tried from Microsoft Store... Why does Premier Color not supporting the new XPS 9380? Is there some other program instead? It's weird that the newest model doesn't support Dell top applications... What can I do to simply change the color to more dark and less yellowish ? Thanks

Which panel do you have? On some XPS, DPC is only for the wide-gamut UHD panes.

There is a certain color variation of panels, best send it back if you don't like it.

Have you tried adjusting colour in the Intel control panel?

Btw, DPC is a pain somewhere and best avoided, tends to fail after most Windows feature updates and gets fixed when another comes... Regarding the wide gamut display and non-color-managed windows programs, it is better either to find CM programs for color-relevant stuff or to use color calibration software.

You can also consider manual color calibration, but better have it done with a device. The color gamut may get reduced because of panel tint.

Thanks, how do I know if the XPS 13 is a DPC panel or not?

Is there a preset color setting program I can use on my Dell that is not Premier Color?

What do you recommend?

Why does Premier Color not supporting the new XPS 9380?

Why? Unknown, it just does not.

The Microsoft Store version states under, "System Requirements, Minimum, Notes" =

Unsupported models will display the following message: "PremierColor does not support this system configuration. Please refer to application information available in the Windows Store"

You will have to purchase calibration hardware (colorimeter) and software. Then calibrate the LCD panel.

I do not know of a software only solution. You will have to purchase calibration hardware (colorimeter) and software. Then calibrate the LCD panel.
