XPS 13 9370, touchpad not working after water spill
So, it happened. As it does sometimes. I spilled water over the keyboard. I turned it off quickly, dismounted, cleaned and dried.
But touchpad buttons don't respond. I can move the pointer, but no reaction to buttons. Funny thing is that each time I logon the left button seems to be clicked permanently. Then I have to click with a bluetooth mouse or touch the screen and the taps and gestures will work on the touchpad. But buttons remain dead.
I thought it might be drivers, but the problem occurs even in BIOS and Ubuntu.
I don't want to send it for repair. I can't afford weeks without computer, and my warranty is lost anyway due to opening the casing. Besides I can easily fix it myself.
But I need a new touchpad. Where can I order it?

Just opening the case does not void a warranty. Spilling water on the system is another story. Any components damaged by the water would obviously not be covered by the warranty.
In order to look up a part number with your model or service tag number go to the following site.
https://www.parts-people.com/
Or you can call Dell Spare Parts at 800-357-3355. Have your service tag when/if you call.
And the procedure for changing the touchpad would be in the service manual on the support page.

I couldn't find any spare parts on that website you mentioned. I think I'll just call any laptop service in my area. Thanks for your help!
