I recently bought my first XPS, I can see a lot of colour banding around blacks in movies, videos and wallpapers, any solution to this issue? Or any explanation? Maybe it's normal and I'm just paranoid? I've tried reinstalling any drivers possible, using different settings, updating BIOS and everything else.

same exact problem here! I've found that opening the intel graphics command center, going to colors, and clicking "revert to original colors" helps soften the banding, but you have to do it everytime the display comes back on. So if you put it to sleep and open it later, you'll have to do it again. Ridiculous.
