XPS 15 7590 upgrade 56Wh to 97Wh battery possible?

Hi,

Just received my new XPS 15 7590 (i7 and FHD screen) today, but coming from a new 16" Macbook Pro the battery size/life is severely underwhelming.

I was wondering - is it possible to upgrade the battery to the larger (OEM) version?

If yes, how do I order one? The only upgrades I see when I search by service tag are nvme and ram upgrades.

If the system has a 2.5" drive in it (in addition to the NVMe SSD), that will need to be removed to fit the battery.  Yes, you can install the larger battery if the 2.5" drive bay is empty or  you sacrifice the drive.

On a system this new, you'll need to call Dell and ask for Spare Parts to order a battery - just about nowhere else will have one.

I think the only drive in there is a 256GB Toshiba nvme, which I will be upgrading next weekend to a 1TB Samsung drive, along with a memory bump from 8 to 32 GB.

Will contact Dell for a larger battery. After that has been installed it should be a proper workhorse
