I think @dellisapain also had the same issue that I did. I recently bought a new XPS 15 7590 that arrived two days ago. I charged it for 24 hours before turning it on, without realizing that only the light on the cable was on -- not the lights on the side of the laptop. When I tried pressing the power button, it would not respond at all. I initially noticed an unusual smell when I took it out of the box, and it lingered on the laptop even after sitting out of the box for 24 hours. I called customer service, and the employee helped me with a series of tests that got me absolutely nowhere. He said he would ship me a new one, but in 7-8 business days although I knew they had the capacity to do expedited shipping. I have received no emails at all confirming the delivery or order request... this is outrageous!
