If I hibernate it, it comes up fine.  But if I close the lid or let it time out to sleep, it freezes when I open the lid back up or try to awaken it by keyboard or mouse.  Screen is blank, keyboard is lit up, but it is unresponsive.  The only way out is to do a hard shutdown.  NOT COOL !

Any useful suggestions?

The following page might help. However read the 2nd page carefully for a number of users that have/had the same problem. In some cases a tech had to replace hardware.
