XPS 15 9560 won't boot, can't charge

Been using the laptop nearly daily with no issues apart from battery replacements. Shut it off yesterday at around 60% battery and now it won't respond at all. Pressing the power button and holding it down has no response. The battery indicator light at the side of the laptop won't turn on either when pressed. The LED below the keyboard doesn't light up either when it's plugged in. The charger itself lights up when plugged into a wall socket, so it's unlikely there's an issue with the charger.

Tried the solution below as well, to no response. Any other solutions?

* Disconnect the AC adapter from both the XPS 15-9570 and the wall power jack
* Disconnect all USB and other peripherals from the XPS 15-9570
* Wait one minute
* Reconnect the AC adapter to both
* Press and hold the power button for 8 seconds, then release it
* Press and release the power button. What happens?
