XPS 15 9570, WavesSysSvc 15-20% CPU usage

Hi,

In order to avoid this high full time CPU usage (and fan noise) I had to update the drivers

  • WavesSysSvc to at least 3.2.0.76
  • Realtek Audio to at least 6.0.1.8454

Howto ?

1- in Windows search for computer

2- right-click on icon and "manage"  (sorry my Windows 10 is in french)

3- Update drivers, right-click on it and "Update"

  • Realtek is in "Sound, video and games controllers"
  • WavesSysSvc is in "Software devices" (in french Composants logiciels)

4- restart the computer ...

My side I enjoy now silence !

I found it under Software Components.  It was called Waves Audio Effects Component.  I updated that to 3.2.0.76.  And that fixed my problem.  Hopefully that will work for you too.

Hi Arfy, Thanks by the proposal, I followed your steps (Inside Computer->Manage) and achieved to see the version of Realtek Audio is fine; but in the "Software devices" there is not any reference to "WavesSysSvc", so I cannot check if that has at least 3.2.0.76. Is it called inside "Software devices" as "WavesSysSvc", or has other name? Kind regards

Yes, looking under Software Components in Device Manager and updating the driver for Waves Audio Effects Component to 3.2.0.76 worked for me as well. As soon as this completed utilization by WavesSysSvc dropped from 20% to 0.
