Re: XPS 15 9570 Keyboard Skipping Keys

Justin,

I have the same problem on my XPS 15 9530.  Will it be covered in the August BIOS update?

Re: XPS 15 9570 Keyboard Skipping Keys

Try this -

  1. Right-click on the Desktop, and select Intel® Graphics Settings

  2. Click on Power to access the Power Section

  3. Under Power section uncheck the Panel Self-Refresh to disable it.

I did those steps then rebooted and I have not seen an issue since.

Re: XPS 15 9570 Keyboard Skipping Keys

Strange it cures some and not others!

Dell do load a lot of unnecessary stuff on, I'm wondering if it's that as I've deleted loads off mine.

But my main question is, why do we have a Intel graphics driver when we have a Nvidia Graphics card anyway?

I cannot update my Intel driver, presumably because I do not have a Intel graphics card.

I'm tempted to remove this driver completely.

Re: XPS 15 9570 Keyboard Skipping Keys

The 1.3.1 bios update has one fix in: Mitigate coil whine noise

https://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukdhs1/drivers/driversdetails?driverId=82MK9

I think the keyboard issue is still to be resolved.

Re: XPS 15 9570 Keyboard Skipping Keys

It's already September. Whre is the promised fix for this? Are you kidding Dell? You can't fix a simple thing that is driving people crazy FOR MONTH? This isn't just sad but ridiculous! At the very least you could talk to your customers at a regular basis to keep them up-to-date, but no. Last Dell product for me for sure!
