XPS 15 9570, no longer detecting headphones

Recently, my XPS 15 9570 (warranty expired on September 13, 2019) has stopped detecting my headphones. If I start the XPS 15 9570 with them plugged in, it sometimes will play through there. But if I unplug them, they won't work again. I've tried reinstalling the Realtek HD Audio drivers to no luck. I'm wondering if it's related to the Waves MaxxAudio Pro stuff but that app provides almost no information or control. Thoughts?

You could try disabling Waves MaxxAudio Pro from system services. Press Windows + R keys to open run window. Type services.msc and press enter. Look for Waves MaxxAudio and stop the service. Restart the system to check if the audio is fine. If the issue persists, we recommend you uninstall the existing Realtek audio driver and the Waves MaxxAudio Pro. Then reinstall the Chipset driver, Realtek HD Audio driver and Waves MaxxAudio Pro application from the XPS 15 9570 driver page. When done, restart the XPS 15 9570 and retest.
