XPS 15 9570 right fan always running at 10,000RPM

Hello,

My XPS 15 9570 right fan always running at 10,000RPM and very noisy, from boot before windows is running, when the cpu/gpu temperature is low and even when the computer is idle and even on sleep.
The computer is less than 2 months old, this issue started from the beginning.

I tried:
Changing the Thermal settings on Dell Power Manager software - doesn't help.
Changing the Fan speed with HWinfo software - doesn't help.

Changing the Fan speed with Speedfan software - doesn't help.

I also have this problem. Right fan is at 6,467 RPM and left at 2,500.

It's so annoyng, it usually last half a day, and then it stop...

Have tried all the stuff you mentioned, with no success, except for the SpeedFan software. Have you gotten any reply? DId they just ignore you?

Please fix this Dell, it's about time. There are thousands of xps owners with fan problems....

Hi @lore213 and @FlavioTribuna ,

I sent the PC to Dell service, it still was in warranty.

They changed the 2 fans and that solved the issue.

Does downgrading the BIOS have consequences? Does everything else work properly? Running older drivers? Older whatever?

I ask because every single time I call Dell Tech Support...the first thing they say is "Are you running the most current/up to date BIOS?"

I sent the laptop to Dell Service as well, they solved the issue in a few days. It was still in warranty.

how long does it take if you send the laptop to dell to fix?

I'm surprised looking at how many people complain about the fan min which i just bought is very noisy indeed.

I really can't be without this laptop now i've started working on this after transferring all my work onto it...
