XPS 15 HDMI Issue

The battery on my XPS laptop was changed yesterday following which my laptop no longer sends a signal to my monitor via the HDMI port. Before the battery was changed both monitor and laptop worked fine together. I have updated the BIOS and the drivers for the graphics cards even though I had the latest drivers installed already. I have changed the hdmi cable. I have also tested the monitor with other laptops and no issues. I have a hub that connects to the usb-c port which has a hdmi port in it and if connected via that the display works. When connected directly in the laptop hdmi port the laptop detects the screen but its just blank and says no signal.
