Thank you for your reply.Actually I am gonna replace the screen for my XPS 14z (L412z), but I haven't found any installation guides for that. I only found a several videos about XPS 15z and this one much looks like the 14z. That's why I asked if the replacing of the both follow the same instruction.
Thanks again. the manual is very helpful in everything except the screen replacement which is not there in the manual. I saved the link as it is very useful when I have other issues.
If what you're looking to do is replace the LCD alone, note that that's not going to be easy - or even possible. This system use a fused assembly - the entire upper half of the system is glued together with strong adhesive and is designed to be replaced as a unit -- not to have the LCD replaced separately. The chances of replacing just the LCD without destroying or damaging other parts is very slim.
