XPS 17 9700 Display drivers for second Monitor won't go to 5120X1440 for my ultra wide monitor.

Trying to figure out how to set my second monitor to 5120X1440. Currently, I have it set to 3840 X 2400. Not sure if it is a driver issue or a settings issue. Do I need to load a different display driver? Currently using a Dell D6000 docking display link.

Turns out I had plug directly into the usb-c port on the pc for the resolution to be recognized.

@Al Capps  The problem is the D6000 since it’s not even using the GPU. It’s using DisplayLink “indirect display” technology, which comes with a whole raft of drawbacks that I’ve written about in the post marked as the answer in this thread. Given that you have an XPS 17, the WD19TB would be a far better dock choice. It would use native GPU outputs and it would also provide enough power to run your system optimally (130W) rather than the D6000’s 60W.
