XPS 9300 FHD+ monitor resolution

Hi, probably a silly question but can anyone tell me if the 2020 XPS 13 FHD+ models can support a higher resolution on an external monitor?

I have a 27" 4k monitor and am wondering if a cheaper USB c type dock would allow a higher resolution on that display.

Thanks

@Richsrd99  Yes it can.  The resolution of the built-in display doesn't affect the maximum resolution that can be run on external displays.  If you only want to run a single 4K 60 Hz display, then a USB-C dock that can take advantage of systems that support DisplayPort 1.4/HBR3 will work, such as the Dell WD19.  Note however that some USB-C docks only support DisplayPort 1.2/HBR2, and that will only allow 4K 30 Hz.  The alternative would be a Thunderbolt 3 dock, which would allow dual 4K 60 Hz displays if you ever wanted to go there.

Or if you don't want to spend money on an entire dock setup, you can just get something like a USB-C to DisplayPort cable and call it a day.
