XPS 9310 - No AC Power from USB-C Monitor Cable

Hi all

I'm using a HP Z27 4K display connected with an USB-C cable for video and power. Over USB-C the monitor powers all my laptops, even my Mac Book. However, my XPS 9310 refuses recognize the USB-C power source from the monitor.

A few facts:

- The monitor delivers up to 100W power - should be enough since the XPS 9310 requires 45W

- Upgraded to BIOS 3.1.0

- BIOS does not show an AC adapter (USB-C cable plugged in)

- Used USB-C cable supports power delivery up to 100W

- Using Ubuntu 20.04.3

- Video signal and monitor recognition works perfect

Any ideas, why my XPS 9310 won't power over the monitor cable? My first guess would be a BIOS issue. Probably have to wait for another update?

Cheers

Apologies in advance if either of these questions are redundant:

1. Have you tried using both Thunderbolt 4 ports within the laptop?

2. Is it possible to boot into Windows to see if the behavior changes?
