XPS 9343 - is it possible to use DC-plug to USB-C adapter to charge?

Hello, I have seen a few adapters online that convert a DC plug into a USB-C so you can use a smaller USB-C wall adapter to charge (eg https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Pavilion-elitebook-touchsmart-ultrabook/dp/B08TLZF854). Is this possible on the 9343? I saw an older post that noted there must be a special chip on the charging adapter to be able to charge the battery (https://www.dell.com/community/Laptops-General-Read-Only/Power-Input-Voltage-Spec-for-XPS-13-2015-9343/td-p/4614266), but it sounds like it would still be able to power the device?

I can't find information about the exact dimensions of the DC plug, and I'm also not familiar enough with USB-C PD to know how a charger will deliver 19.5V (like the AC adapter) and not more than that.

Thanks for any information!

No. While newer systems can charge through USB, this one is too old -- it can only be charged by a Dell OEM AC adapter through the DC input port.

I see. During my searching I found this adapter that takes 20V USC-C PD and converts to 19.5V for Dell. I may give this a try (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001286150616.html).

Bear in mind the Dell system uses a chip on the mainboard that communicates with a chip in the Dell AC adapter through the center pin in the adapter and corresponding connector in the DC jack in the system.  While an adapter like one of those may power the system, it will not charge the battery.
