XPS 9500 "slow charger" warning in Windows 10 after latest updates
XPS 15 9500
XPS 9500 - after recent Windows updates which were after Dell updates including latest Bios 1.19
This seems very similar to https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/XPS-9510-slow-charger-detected/m-p/8026500/highlight/true#M89098
I have the original 130W charger attached. Bios reports 130W, but Windows shows "Slow Charger" and an exclamation point
My Dell app Reports charging "30%/hr"
I have tried shutdown and restart, and also holding down power button for a long time to shut down without AC power.
No dice - still get the warning. Any suggestions please? 30%/hr seems slow to me.

The problem resolved itself after normal use for a while - I suspect it was after I worked on battery for a while, and charged through PD from a thunderbolt port, and then when I went back to the Dell charger later, it was recognized correctly. Weird stuff

You linked a forum post, did you try everything on that post and did the issue still persist? Have you tried downgrading your BIOS to the revision that did not have the issue?

Thanks for your response. I did try everything in that post, except for the BIOS downgrade. I don't believe the problem occurred immediately after the BIOS update, rather it appeared the first time during my travels later. Resetting the Dell power app wasn't available as an option, because I am using MyDell.
I am unwilling to play with BIOS now since I am travelling - and I can't afford to risk disabling the laptop if there is a problem. On the other hand, I need to keep my battery fully charge, and the slow charging is a major nuisance.
I am hoping the crowd wisdom would suggest additional suggestions or a real diagnosis of the root cause.
