We will take this as feedback & share with the concerned team, even the service center will escalate this issue from their end if there are multiple customers reporting about this issue.

Most of those types of slots are spring loaded so you push it in a little further and let it pop out. Yours isn't doing that?

Yup. This sd card slot is a terrible design. There is enough space for the sd card to go into the hole, on the other side of the reader slot, to be stuck underneath the logic board. If you get in the situation where the card is still a little out, don't try pushing it in to engage the spring. There is no spring because the sd card is not in the slot, it is stuck between the slot and the system board. Try to get it out with tweezers. Otherwise you'll need to completely disassemble the laptop to get it out. Of course because these are "non-removable parts", Dell warranty does not cover this.

Hello!
Thanks for letting us know.
I do see a service booked and it's on hold currently due to part unavailability. The team you are working with is checking internally to have this sorted out at the earliest. Please continue working with them via email to avoid any confusion in the resolution to be provided. I'm sure we can have this fixed at the earliest!

Hello!
I see the technical team is arranging for the old system's collection prior to the replacement's delivery. The system should be collected post-weekend. I am tracking this and will continue to share updates.

This happened to me as well, the SD card is inside and I don't know what to do, if I place another SD card it works fine but I'm kinda worried and looking for solutions to get it out as it's out of reach

Dell engineering team are you able improvise to put some tape padding or sort to avoid accidentally slot in wrong side?
