Re: XPS13 9370 Bluescreen "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" HAXM

Hello Florian,

no, I have used the standard settings for Android Studio each AVD is also set up using the standard settings.

Do you use a "out of the box" installation of the devices?
I wonder if other people with the same problem either have formatted their HDD and did a fresh install or performed the "Fresh Start" feature of Windows 10 to wipe custom data from the OS.

Also what might be different is that my installation of Android Studio isn't fresh but I have imported my settings/configuration from my XPS15, which went through a number of version updates.

Daniel

Re: XPS13 9370 Bluescreen "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" HAXM

Hello Daniel,

OS installation is out of box. In the meantime I've updated all drivers and the BIOS.

Just wondering if using a Microsoft account will affect fingerprint touch behavior, as we are only using local accounts for testing in our laboratory.

Currently using Windows 10 (1709). Will be updating to Windows 10 (1803) now.

Is there any user affected with an Intel i5 CPU? So far I was not able to test with an Intel i7 configuration.

With kind regards,

Florian

Re: XPS13 9370 Bluescreen "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" HAXM

Hello Florian,

I think the main differentiating factor might be the Windows build, everyone affected seems to be on 1803.

Regarding the user account, I initially always set up a local account, because signing in with the MS acxacco will generate an impractical name for the user folder, and connect it to my MS account afterwards.

Daniel

Re: XPS13 9370 Bluescreen "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" HAXM

Hello again,

my colleague was just able to duplicate the behavior with a XPS 13 (9370) using an Intel i7 CPU running Windows 10 (1803). We will be investigating now.

Kind regards,

Florian

Re: XPS13 9370 Bluescreen "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" HAXM

Hello,

duplicated this behavior also on a XPS 13 equipped with Intel i5 CPU.

Additionally noticed that the error seems to be only happening with API 25 but never happend with API 28.

Could you please try with API 28?
Is anyone else using an API different to 25 and is facing similar issues?

Please be informed that I will not be in office until 23rd of July.

With kind regards,

Florian

Re: XPS13 9370 Bluescreen "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" HAXM

Hello Florian,

I have a typo in my post, I'm also on API lvl 25 (not 27 as stated in the previous post).

I have tried an Oreo API lvl 26 and 27 AVD now -> BSOD

Android P API lvl 28 works.

Hello all,

I've got similar information to what has been shared on the github link from stozk.

@stozk As Intel provided a solution on this problem, I will proceed to close the service request you have with Dell.

Thank you for your assistance.

With kind regards,

Florian

Re: XPS13 9370 Bluescreen "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" HAXM

Hi @Florian Steinau,

I have just been trying out my new XPS 13 and experienced this same issue. Disabling the fingerprint sensor solved as previously described. How do we do about applying the fix from intel? Windows Update and SupportAssist say all of my drivers are up to date.

Many thanks

Will
