xps 15 9500 won't turn on, orange light on power button press

My brand new xps 15 9500 won't turn on after being shut down and the orange light in the middle of the lower part of the laptop comes on when the power button is pressed (and stays on for as long as the power button is held). After some random amount of time- 10, 20, 30 minutes it just boots up normally.

I have the exact same problem with my new XPS 9500. How did you solve this issue?

Contact dell support for your region. Either through a phone line or chat. For my region it was a WhatsApp chat. That dell cares account is useless and will just tell you it’s ‘inconvenient’ for them to send you a replacement As if it wasn’t inconvenient that a ‘premium’ laptop comes broken out of the box.
