Release Matrix between SC and XtremApp 3.0.3

What is the minimum release version on Storage Controller If I Install XtremIO 3.0.3 (3.0.3-11) on XMS ?

thanks in advance

All storage controllers in XtremIO need to run the same software version. In this case, all storage controllers in an array would be running version 3.0.3.

Hi Avi,

Just got confused with question. I understand XtremApp is SC or node firmware and XMS version will be separate correct?

We need to just make sure the version matches for XtremeApp and XMS correct?

Regards,

Swapnil

At the time this question was asked/answered, the version running on the Storage Controllers (XtremApp) and the version on the XMS needed to match.

As of version 4 this changes, and it's now possible for them to run different versions.  The release notes cover the supported versions, but basically the XMS must be on a higher or equal version than the array, and the array must be running a version listed as supported by that XMS version in the release notes.

In the latest version the numbers have even diverged a little.  eg, the current target code is 4.2.1 on the XMS, and 4.0.15 on the array/storage controllers - but obviously this combination is fully supported.
