U2722DE switch on after DPBS

Dear all,

my Dell U2722DE will not switch on after a DPBS connection. The problem can be replicated as follows:

1. Connect Dell Laptop via USB-C and switch on via DPBS

2. Shutdown Laptop (Monitor will switch off in sync with Laptop

3. Disconnect Laptop (no other devices are connected to Dell U2722DE)

4. Press monitor power button -> nothing happens

It seems to me that the monitor is waiting for a signal from the laptop that is booting. Since the laptop is disconnected, the signal will never come and the monitor will not power on.

Up to now I have only found one solution: disconnect the monitor from power supply & reconnect. Afterwards, it is possible again to switch the monitor on whithout DPBS. However, this will only work until the laptop is connected once again.

Can this behaviour be avoided?
