Aurora R3 upgraded, AlienFX not installable
Hi,
My name is Roel G and I purchased an Alienware Aurora R3 in 2010 and I fell in love with is to much that I upgraded my pc (all aftermarket upgrades) a couple of months ago but kept the case.
Now I can't install AWCC (Alienware Command Center) which I need to install AlienFX to get my colors of the case working again, in the BIOS it still works and my case glows in the colour I want without AlienFX, but after I log into Windows it vanishes and i'm not able to install the command centre.
Is there any solution to get my RGB colours working again?
I do hope there is any solution as this saddens me that it won't work anymore and I do not want to change case to get RGB working again.
Hoping t o get an Answer from anyone who got it working or any dev to help me solve the issue.
Best Regards,
Roel G

What version of Windows is currently installed ?
What version of AWCC (AlienFX, etc.) are you trying to install ?
Note: Only certain versions are validated/allowed to run on certain machines. There are also AWCC version limits depending on currently install Windows version (v7, 8, or 10) .

If you've put in an aftermarket motherboard then you need the registry editor to regain control of your AlienFX. The smaller 'daughterboard' is what controls the AlienFX and if it can't find the OEM motherboard then you won't get AlienFX.
Try this guide on how to get it back
