AW2725DF, DSC needs to be toggleable or removed

DLDSR/DSR only works on this monitor via HDMI at native 1440p, all the way up to 144Hz 8bit.

When connected via DP at native 1440p, even something as low as @ 60Hz 8bit, DLDSR/DSR does NOT work. Because DLDSR/DSR does not work when DSC is being used, this would indicate that DSC is not operating correctly via DP 1.4 

This a serious issue for a lot of people who would like to use DLDSR/DSR over DP 1.4. It needs to be addressed.

But it does work with DSC...DSC Monitors

@Vanadiel It DOESN'T WORK in THIS monitor, I have the same problem. It's the problem with how they implemented it. It could be fixed maybe either via Nvidia driver update, if they care enough

Yes, along with VRR flicker when using G-SYNC, the lack of NVIDIA DSR support due to this monitor enforcing DSC even at lower refresh rates is the second biggest issue I have with what is otherwise a fantastic display.

In fact, I would say that the menu options for this monitor are surprisingly limited compared with other vendors. The Pixel Care options are limited to just two options with no options for screen shifting, logo detection and so on that other monitors have. There's obviously no option to disable/enable DSC but at the very least I would have expected this display to disable DSC when using 120 Hz and 60 Hz but it clearly doesn't because the NVIDIA control panel never shows the DSR options even at 60 Hz 8-bit colour.

This lack of DSR support also means that I cannot set the desktop to 4K and have it downscaled to 1440p to use the Netflix and Amazon Video apps to watch 4K content with and without HDR; instead I am stuck at 1080p even though 4K and HDR both work fine with YouTube. Yes this is an issue with Netflix not the monitor itself but the expected workaround is not available due to an oversight with DSC.

Hope this can be addressed in a firmware update.

P.S. Can we also have the monitor display whether HDR is on or off when activating the menu? I've seen this on other monitors and think this is very useful to have personally.

@Reanimate​ Its never happening, glad i returned this and bought msi. They're fixing hdr 1000 now aswell
