AW3225QF, no firmware updates since April?
Hi all,
We have not had a single update since April regarding this monitor. No toggle button for DSC? I am having flickering issues with this monitor as well and the hdr seems washed out. I don’t understand why there has not been any updates since? Can anyone explain if they have discontinued supporting this monitor? If so I am keen to send it back and get an MSI or Samsung since they are updating their monitor on a regular basis. It’s quite concerning that a lot of people spent money on this broken item that is not being fixed by dell. I’ve seen other monitors get updates but what about this one?

If your monitor is broken, click on Get Help Now button to get warranty support. If you want to send it back, jump on it now before your eligible return window runs out.

Of course I know but there has not been any firmware updates. It’s ridiculous. Have they stopped supporting updates for this monitor? This monitor can beat other brands if dell fix these issues with firmware updates.

Unlike PC and laptops, monitors don't get update that often. If there is any, was to fix issues or providing enhancements. If you are expecting the latter, don't hold your breath for an uncertainty enhancement update that may or may not come. When it is technical possible, Dell would have done it sooner to grab more customers from the market. If there is delay, something else hold them back.
When making a purchase, expect to receive what in the descriptions and specs, nothing more, nothing less. Then you won't feel disappointed. Your monitor is a new model and Dell won't stop supporting it for another 3 years.

Well if you look at other forums lot of people are complaining about the item that have not been fixed yet. You would think spending a lot on this monitor they would address these issue to customers. For example, msi and ASUS have provided a firmware update for DSC. So explain to me why dell have not added this feature into their latest model? We expect firmware updates and more support for this monitor.
What you said about “expect to receive what in the descriptions and specs, nothing more, nothing less” is a bit deluded because if the monitor is not performing the way it should you’re saying it’s okay if the monitor is not performing at its top standard. That’s why firmware updates are important to address these issues.

The grass is always greener on the other side. Customers from other brands wanted their products be like Dell and the world goes round.
If DSC is not working as you said, just return the product. You may not like the answer, but it's in good faith suggestion to your query.

@Danny9696 There is no answer, and you likely never will get an answer to that question. This is the way Dell operates.
All you can do is either wait for a firmware update that might never arrive, or perform a return of the product if still in the return window.

@Vanadiel it is unacceptable if you’re saying dell operates this way. Communication skills needs to seriously improve. It’s no good you guys forwarding this forum on to them but they not communicating themselves whether a new firmware will be released. It’s a joke.
It’s probably why this monitor is cheaper than other brands since dell are not keen to provide firmware updates. If they do then they are just dragging it. I knew there would be some sort of catch.

@Danny9696 You can always write an e-mail to the CEO of Dell to convey your feelings. We are just the messengers.

It's wild to me that we haven't had a firmware update in so long now. If I were still able to, I would return this monitor. When in SDR, every time something triggers a display update I have to manually adjust the monitor brightness to fix the gamma. When with the brightness set to 250 nits, the picture will be extremely dim and washed out until I adjust brightness either +1 or -1.
