I have the same problem on my Aurora R15, my applications and games crash, the only way to stabilize it has been in the Intel xtu tool to lower the core performance multiplier from x55 or x60 to x53 or x50, the bios improvement of the August 16 with 1.14 has had no effect on my computer

I have had an open ticket for 3 weeks.  STRILL waiting for a replacement chip.  I get that they are back logged/ordered, but why pay for Premium support if I can only get poor customer service.  It is not my fault that these chips are bad.  Dell needs to step up and take responsibility and make it right with their customers.... and waiting for multiple weeks is not acceptable.

The premier support through India is so unprofessional and sub par that I am questioning why even bother with Dell?  Its the same parts that I can get anywhere...I paid for the ease of mind and good tech support.  That is no longer the case.  The tech support is horrendous.   DO BETTER DELL,

@YumboYack619 Dell does not produce the chips, and Intel is basically out of stock. The delay is not the fault of Dell or any other OEM.

There simply are limited replacement CPU's available due to this unusual issue with these chips.

I have the Aurora R16 with very slow response.  I have done all the testing on the website without success.  I am not comfortable at all in attempting to update the BIOS.  That is why I purchased the four year service subscription.

I am still getting cpu computer crashes, usually when pc is in idle situations like they say.  Are weegetting replacement chips, or are they  still going to redo the bios.  Cause the last bios patch made it worse, and its like  really bad today and I need my computer for streaming, and can not handle random crashes out of nowhere.

How come Command center shows a different CPU speed as opposed to task manager.  Shows the CPU not working at all in a vid game.  This forum doesnt let me upload a pic.  says failed.

CPU 72 percent in picture in task manager

Alienware command center says 3 percent.  It never goes up in that.,

I just ordered a R16 with 14900kf and 4080 super. After hearing all these horror stories I'm wondering if I should cancel my order. Also seen a ton of people having tempature problems. I'm wondering if some people are running to much power on one circuit, like an AC on the same circuit as the computer.

@Vanadiel True but they are still selling computers with zero warnings. Soon as I bought my Alienware they tell you about it. So it does fall under Dells fault in my eyes.

1, not warn people about this before they buy.

2, Sell computer that they know have problems.

I just put a order in a few days ago and within 48 hours I got a warning about my computer has a problem because it's a I9 gen. So I expecting a problem before it even gets to my house. You think they have a fix rather then saying lets hope its ok but if its not, nothing we can do about it besides make more sales.
